Here's where the score declines. There is no doubt that this is a sensitive pad. There are certain styles of play, however, that are not tailor made for this pad. For players who play on their toes or who step directly or very near the middle, excellent pad: you'll have absolutely no problems. However, for those who tailor make their style to as little movement as possible of the lower body, then you may experience problems getting the sensors to react.

Note that I've only played the arcade version of DDR once and I fell in love. When I decided to get a home version, I got a PS2 and wanted the best pad I could find. After doing some web searching, I ordered a cobaltflux pad and it is everything I hoped it would be.

I bought the pad primarily for exercise (I'm 50 years old, 230 pounds and 50 pounds overweight) because I won't exercise unless it's fun. I use DDR most days in workout mode (I have DDRMAX for PS2), and on Saturdays I do game mode. This pad has worked solidly from day 1, and I've never had the pad screw me up. It is really well built and I expect it to last a very long time.
